According to latest news, the marriage amendment (2010) bill which was passed during UPA regime in 2013 in Rajya Sabha is now being resurrected and hurriedly being re-introduced in Winter session of Parliament starting on 24th Nov 2014. NBW (arrest warrant) issued against woman for false dowry harassment case
In probably a first case in India, a woman who made a false dowry harassment complaint has been issued NBW (non-bailable warrant) by JMFC, Mangalore for filing a false case under IPC 498a. Recently a high court judge had said in a seminar that if he went strictly by definition of Indian domestic violence act against women(PWDVA), he will be guilty of domestic violence on his wife. Actually, if the domestic violence act was made gender neutral, his wife will also be guilty of domestic violence on him.
