TVM: A 44- year old woman complained to the police that she had been kidnapped on her ways to the workplace and was raped on the road side. The police however took the statement with a frown and found that she had given false statement.

The woman, a temporary worker in a govt. firm said that she was kidnapped while she was coming to the office. She also stated that she was robbed of her gold ornaments at knifepoint. She said her kidnappers hustled her into their car around 9.30 a.m.

The doctors who examined her said that she was involved in sexual activity with men. While checking her mobile calls during the time of captivity period the police found that she had not made any calls which sounded worry. On further questioning the woman confessed that she was spending time with her lover in his car near the Shanghumugham beach. She cooked up the rape story to excuse himself.

The woman who lives separated from her husband has two teenaged children. She had frequent contact with her lover. The police is planning to charge her under section 182 of the Indian Penal Code for giving a false statement.

Here is news of a Delhi High Court judgment which denies claim of rape… if you think it is not fair on girl, read the excerpt of news below. The girl had drugged her own family members to be able to have sex in her own house! Some rape that is!

Iqbal said they had sex at the girl’s house after her family dozed off, after consuming tea they had laced with intoxicating pills. The court said it is to be noted the physical relation took place not at any strange place but at the residence of the girl after she herself drugged her parents.

False rape claims are not that rare, no matter whether it is India or abroad. Here is a recent case in US where 4 men were accused falsely of rape.

“The woman admitted the encounters with each of the men were consensual,” Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice told reporters at a news conference Thursday.

The woman recanted her story Wednesday after authorities told her that part of the incident was recorded on a cell phone video, Rice said.

“That was when she began to tell the truth,” she said.

Authorities have not released the accuser’s name.

Here is another story of false rape accusation from US:
